I have been informed by Br Richard Holmes, CC of Maj. William Anderson McTeer Camp #39, Department of Tennessee, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War that the Camp has decided to cease functioning.<\/p>\n<p>2. With this decision, I order the following:<br \/><br \/>a. Sr. Vice Commander, Chip Huffman, CC, work with the leadership of the Camp to <br \/>surrender all assets and have those assets transferred to the National Organization.<br \/><br \/>i. This is including the Camp Charter,<br \/>ii. Financial Assets,<br \/>iii. Other tangible assets<br \/><br \/>b. Sr. Vice Commander, Chip Huffman, CC, also gain control of any existing electronic <br \/>assets<br \/><br \/>i. Examples: websites, Facebook accounts, etc.<br \/><br \/>c. Sr. Vice Commander, Chip Huffman, CC, hold in trust any awards or assets that <br \/>belong to the Department, that may currently be in the Camp\u2019s possession.<br \/><br \/>i. Examples: Awards, Files, etc.<br \/><br \/>d. Jr. Vice Commander, Richard \u201cSkip\u201d Rexroade work with the Brothers of the retiring <br \/>Camp to find them homes in our existing Camps.<br \/><br \/>i. I would ask the Commanders and Brothers of Missionary Ridge Camp #63 <br \/>and Army of Tennessee Camp #64 to extend fraternal relations to these<br \/>Brothers, as those Camps are the most likely locations.<br \/>ii. That the Department Secretary \/ Treasurer, Gary Moore, CC and Camp <br \/>Secretary \/ Treasurers assist with the creating of Form 4\u2019s, 6\u2019s, and 30\u2019s as <br \/>necessary to help retain these Brothers in the Order. We need to make sure <br \/>paperwork does not lose us a Brother!<br \/><br \/>3. The loss of a Camp within our Department is a loss for all of us. The Order grows with us having healthy Camps with healthy leadership and active members.
