Notice of Department Special Encampment to Receive Report of Department Special Committee to Host a National Encampment
Brothers and Gentlemen of the Department,
On 06 April 2025, there will be a Special Encampment of the Department of Tennessee.
The sole purpose of this meeting is to:
Accept or reject a revised proposal of the Special Committee to Host a National Encampment that was established by motion at the Department Encampment, and is detailed in Department Order #2 2024-2025. The Special Encampment in November 2024 only authorized the Committee to work towards the 2026 National Encampment. Dates, and cost outlook has changed since that time. This Special Encampment authorizes the continuation of the work.
Acceptance of this proposal will allow the National Host Committee to move forward with their work.
- Acceptance of the proposal binds us to holding the National Encampment.
- Rejecting the proposal will end our pursuit of hosting a National Encampment at this time.
I further order that Br. George Huttick, PDC, Chair of the Special Committee to Host a National Encampment make a copy of the proposal available on the Department Website, and to confirm the delegate counts for each Camp to the Camp Commanders via email no later than 04 April 2025. Past Department Commanders, Camp Commanders, Past Camp Commanders, Department Commander are automatically listed as delegates. Br. Huttick will also issue a Zoom notification to the Camp Commanders to be forwarded to the delegates of the Camp.
This 15 days notice is in order with the By-Laws of the Department of Tennessee Article III, Section 4.
